Helen's Wedding
Manitoba Opera & Revive Productions
Director, Producer, and Performer
Inspired by my Grandma Helen's life story, and "Mary's Wedding" (2011) with music by Andrew Paul MacDonald and libretto by Stephen Massicotte, "Helen's Wedding" is a reminder to cherish the little moments we are given, and to not take the trials of war or those who fight in them lightly. Lest we forget.

Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro
Pacific Opera Victoria
Bridesmaid
Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro is a whirlwind of love, desire, and witty schemes set in opulent 18th-century Spain. The story follows the complex web of relationships between the Count, his young wife Rosina, their clever and charming valet Figaro, and his betrothed Susanna. As the plot unfolds, a series of passionate encounters, hilarious misunderstandings, and daring disguises ensue, all driven by a desire for forbidden romance and social equality. - Pacific Opera Victoria

Golijov's Ainadamar
Pacific Opera Victoria
Voices of the Fountain
“Ainadamar (Spanish pronunciation of the Arabic name ‘Ayn al-Dam’, meaning ‘The Fountain of Tears’), is the work of Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov, and a reflection on the death of the great Spanish poet, Garcia Lorca. Lorca was assassinated by Nationalist forces (Falange) in August 1936, his body was never recovered. He was 38. The opera is told through the memories of Lorca’s great Catalan actress/muse Margarita Xirgu. The score is a gorgeous display of Spanish colours and idioms (including flamenco). Ainadamar has been seen in many productions world-wide; the one you will see began in San Francisco, and was recently produced at l’Opéra de Montréal. I am delighted to recommend it wholeheartedly to Victoria’s opera lovers.”
